2026-05-25 The Scan Collection update has been released! Average stats for Creatures will now be displayed on Scans! More filters have been added to the Scan Collection page, many specifically for when the Creature type is selected. For each Scan in the Scan Collection page, a "Copy Recode Name" button has been added to make deckbuilding easier.

2026-05-12 The Beyond the Doors set has been released, and the M'arrillian Invasion begins! Attack decks will now be automatically checked for illegal cards when making Rewind decks in Chaotic Recode. Starter decks have been slightly buffed.

2026-04-28 The dynamic scanquest timer logic added in the Scanquest Update has been refactored. A change deployed this morning was then further adjusted this evening based on player feedback. A link to the new Chaotic Rewind Patreon has also been added at the bottom of this page.

2026-04-20 The Scanquest Update has been released! This update introduces 5 new Quests, 6 new Items, 2 new Locations, a "Scanquest catch-up" mechanic, and more!

2026-04-08 The Silent Sands set has been released! The Mipedian Tribe can now be chosen for your starter deck. The Starter Deck screen has been improved, and Starter Decks now contain a guaranteed Ultra Rare Scan. New "Mirage" Locations have also been added.

2026-03-29 The Carnival of Confusion has arrived in Perim! The new Player Inventory feature has also arrived, allowing your Chaotic self to collect and use items in Perim.

2026-03-08 The Zenith of the Hive set has been released! The Danian Tribe can now be chosen for your starter deck. Starter decks now contain six Scans of each type instead of three. A new feature called "Sublocations" has been added. Some Locations will now contain one or more other Locations inside of them.

2026-02-08 Mobile UI improvements have been made to the Perim page. A new feature called "Scanquest Pins" has been added. A pin will now appear over the Location where your Chaotic self is currently Scanquesting.

2026-01-21 Start of closed beta! The beta will last 2 weeks and the scantime has been reduced from 12 hours to 6 hours to better approximate 4 weeks of play. Testers who provide feedback will receive exclusive promos in Rewind's official release.
